The report will show the evaluation of the source equipment, outlets, valves, and alarm panels. The evaluation will report on all deficiencies discovered and recommended procedures to correct them. It will also reference all NFPA codes that require the correction.

Testing and Certification

Certification is performed on all existing systems, new systems, and systems that have had any additions, modifications made, or repairs performed. The testing for certification consists of testing for crossed lines, testing for impurities, testing for equipment malfunction, tracing lines, verification of correct materials used, checking connections, and auditing components within the system.

Preventive Maintenance

Maintenance of a certified system is very important, requiring periodic checks on major components of the system. Joint Commission requires performance and safety testing of all equipment in the Management Program prior to initial use and at least annually thereafter.

This service can be as simple as the annual testing and documentation required by JCAHO or it can be a complete turn key maintenance contract. The complete turn key program provides quarterly visits that test different parts of the equipment and operation of the system. All reasonable repairs, calibrations, and adjustments are included. Any major item of repair will be written up and presented for either bid or a Purchase Order. There are two emergency visits included also.
